The Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 was signed into law today - 17th October 2018
Go hiontach! And signed into law on The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty which is apt! I've been covering the passage of the bill through the Irish Oireachtas (Houses of Parliament) for a few years and even years before that I was aware of the alcohol problem in Ireland so I am delighted that the PHAB has come in!
This morning the President signed the Public Health (Alcohol) Bill and it has accordingly become law.
