Update - I have since realised something in the below quote from Neale. Fyi Neale is talking about everyone in the world not just himself.

I believe this a lot of the time, maybe most of the time, when I think about it but a part of me holds back in believing it completely at times.

One of the two negatives I find about having read Neale's work for nearly 20 years now - is that he (maybe not on his own) has taken away my belief in the power of God to fix things.

I believe a lot going back the last 20 years or more in our ability as people to draw on the power of God and be in alignment with it but alas my faith in God intervening has pretty much completely gone. I do not know for sure if this is a good thing and a sign of progress or regress for me in this area.

That said I haven't cried or prayed formally deeply for help for anything in a very long time so maybe if I was at a point like that at some point in the future I would be different. I am again not sure if it is a good thing or not that I don't pray like this. I suppose it is a good thing that I feel like I usually don't need to. I usually don't have the patience to pray formally to God either although I think about him or moreoften rather spirituality a lot.

Most of the time I find the spirituality of the Christian churches and indeed all religions limited but I have not completely given up on formal religion either although I have mostly in terms of not formally subscribing to any of them completely.

I am into spirituality and not religion in other words but I have not given up completely on religion including Christianity and some of the core teachings of the Christian churches including the Catholic Church. Unfortunately maybe says me!

I am more a Peckian - and he M. Scott Peck was a Christian so who knows?
