I don't think this is true for children and young people in general the majority of the time.

Good column by Sarah in today's Indo.

"Annette tried to represent his Ireland – pagan and Christian. I love what she has done because it reminds me of what Christianity is supposed to be. Jesus commanded us to identify with the poor and lowly, not the rich and powerful. Those who were last shall be first, remember? Saint Martin of Tours cut his cloak in two and gave half to the freezing beggar. That’s the consolation and example of Christianity."

Sarah Carey: Simple truth of Saint Patrick had lessons for us all, but we chose the myth instead

Alcohol is not good for our health

I am not in favour of prohibition but this should be widely known I believe.

"In January 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) came out with a strong statement: there is no safe level of drinking for health."

Article - Sorry, red wine drinkers: alcohol is only ever bad for your health

We needn’t be puritanical about having a drink, but we can no longer deny that it harms us, even in small quantities"
