Creating a couple of heritage and cultural heritage playlists on Youtube tonight got me thinking so I put
the below question into ChatGPT. Hmm...

Creating a couple of heritage and cultural heritage playlists on Youtube tonight got me thinking so I put
the below question into ChatGPT. Hmm...
I did Honours English and Honours Irish in school and studied Journalism in college for three years
twenty years ago and only learned recently from ChatGPT of the difference between a hyphen and the
two dashes! It's a small thing but to use them correctly can make your writing look more
professional I think! I have started to use the en dash recently, I am yet to use the em dash, but I am not
going to be too rigid about using it because while I think using it often looks a bit more professional in
some situations I think it looks a bit too much. I am only learning this though so don't quote me on the
area. :)
The different dashes often don't display on Blogger like on the heading of this post.

Update - I have just learned that although Blogger does not accept the en dash in post titles it does
publish the em dash in them. 😊
+
(I have now updated the relevant post titles on this blog under a keyword search for my name here at
Darren J. Prior – I am not going to change anymore but I might use the em dash in post titles in general
on this blog going forward from now on).
As a note I have started to check more before I post a quote from someone on this blog now. I
have been doing so for years to some extent but I have started to do more now recently particularly
with quotes from some people that are likely to often be paraphrased.
See below from my Facebook from last week to find out more what I mean.
Update – I am often not going to research / ChatGPT research every quote I come across only
sometimes so just be aware that many of the quotes on this blog from other people are paraphrases
and circulating the internet. I am not at this point 100% committed to know if such and such a person
really said such and such a thing although I am interested in knowing this sometimes with a small
number of the people I follow (2026)
I posted this below post on my Facebook a couple of weeks ago but just in case I forget about it / them
(the video location tags) again I am posting here on my blog for record or reference.
Update – What do I mean by video location tags as opposed to the "Tags" boxes and hashtags
inserted on video titles and descriptions? For those of you not very au fait with some of
the smaller sides of Youtube see the location tag (or rather "video location" tag) of Dublin Castle from
this screenshot of the name and some of the description of an upload of mine as an example of what
and where on the video / upload I am talking about. :)
I uploaded loads of quotes to Wikiquote recently, most of which can be seen on my
Wikiquote profile page as well. I uploaded more of Scott Peck's than anyone else, which can all be seen
