This is funny I think and it is I am inclined to believe true as well. Even M. Scott Peck who was a
committed Christian (he was my favourite writer) said the same kind of thing.
Of course I don't believe that we as individuals have the full power of God but I am inclined to believe
that we are individuations of God and able to draw on the power of God at times while not being able
to draw on the full power of God. I would recommend Scott's books (although he didn't write about this
aspect of spirituality a lot) and Neale Donald Walsch's books to hear more about this idea.

Wanting England to always lose in sports? — DJP (2026)
I remember (checks ChatGPT to make sure I have the game right) watching England play Argentina in
the 1998 World Cup and I was so emotionally involved in the game and wanting England to lose and
had huge joy/huge relief when Argentina won.
Some people in Ireland (and I was one of them) have a bit of a unhealthy thing about wanting England
to always lose in my opinion. I wouldn't call the overall camp – wanting England to lose – unhealthy
but I think that a good few people in the camp have a bit of a unhealthy attitude to England.
I think it is just an immaturity thing. I was 17 years old in 1998. In more recent years my biggest
preference in watching football including Gaelic football is to see a good game. I haven't thought much
about whether I want England to win the World Cup (I probably wouldn't want them to because we in
Ireland would be saturated with the victory for years watching UK media and much UK media is big in
Ireland) but I don't begrudge them doing well.

Been there – generally when I was a teenager and a bit older but still young – never again. I think it is a
lesson that people should not really have to be put through especially young people. That said a lot of
people don't seem to be into creativity much so may not mind. I couldn't work in a non-creative
environment again – and the job would have to be in an area I was passionate about.
Eckhart Tolle (192) — DJP
Sometimes I worry about the future of mankind in terms of spirituality as being interested in spirtuality is
for a long time in the West I believe a niche interest – and even within the area there are a lot of quacks
and people who are not really serious about the area.
This truth by Eckhart though will prevail. I would further add that meditation, at the times it truly works
and I find I often don't enter much of a meditative state when I try to meditate although I do of course
enter one at many other times, is even better for building on inner power and I believe that what Gary
Zukav teaches about authentic power is brilliant too if you are serious about creating it.
