To follow on I would say that not only are a lot of drug addicts more humane but some / a lot of them
are more intelligent as well.
And maybe the repression usually extends beyond youth.
I for one have had a couple of (off the top of my head) repressive experiences but I have never been a
repressed person, repressing my emotions. I express them somehow usually positively. 😊
I don't know how some / many people even adults can automatically repress their feelings so much.
Doing so messes up your health, even if you can apparently cope or function in the regular world.
