The Mental Health Commission annual report for 2015 - July 2016

The Mental Health Commission launched their annual report for 2015 in June 2016. I spoke to John Saunders the Director of Shine - Supporting People affected by Mental Ill Health and the current chair of the Mental Health Commission in the Shine offices on Blessington Street about the MHC in general; their report; and about current mental health services in general in Ireland today and about the challenges involved in moving to a community-based mental health service where adequate services are provided to help people recover and lead valued lives in the community.
