For centuries, #tariffs have been used to protect domestic producers by increasing the cost of imports. But according to #Trump, tariffs have no effect on import prices, as foreign producers pay the tariffs. If Trump is correct, then everything we've known about tariffs is wrong.

Those closest to #Trump, who understand basic economics, need to explain to the President how tariffs actually work. Trump claims that he doesn't like "yes" men. If true, it's time for those closest to him to grow a pair and tell the President and the public that he's wrong.
