Sadhguru (152) / Reiki / The spiritual path - DJP (2025)

 

I saw a short video on Youtube in the last year or two of Sadhguru criticising Reiki saying something like that it is not a good or real spiritual practice.

Reiki is not the Z of life (see quote below). Whether getting attuned to it is the A or e.g. H of life it's the beginning of what should be a remarkable, challenging and exhilarating life. 

Although of course to get to the stage of getting attuned to it is usually the Z of an earlier I believe usually remarkable and often painful journey too.

I agree with Sadhguru that some Reiki practitioners don't journey much or far after getting attuned to it, not that I know many Reiki practitioners. I am thinking of the area(s) of social justice and society in particular and the non-existence of work in this / these areas outside of giving / sending Reiki.

I am not trying to discount giving / sending Reiki as I believe it works but if you are not working in some way in the areas of social justice you are I believe not living a very actively spiritual life in the mold of Jesus and other prophets and spiritual leaders.
